Thank you to El Agaves Mexican Restaurant in Hope for donating gift certificates for students with good grades and to celebrate teachers hard work!

Prescott High School was pleased to honor our local veterans this morning in an assembly. Veterans were escorted into the auditorium where they were welcome and enjoyed a veteran’s prayer along with band performances. Abby Rothenberger sang a beautiful rendition of Hallelujah. Rowe Stayton spoke to guests, students and staff about the importance and meaning of being a veteran. As veterans exited to enjoy a meal prepared by Mrs. Benton and FCCLA students, veterans were thanked by Superintendent Robert Poole. This program was a just a small token to show our appreciation to all who served honorably in the military.

So proud of our Prescott kiddos! The Curley Wolves cheerleaders, PHS Key Club members and the OYEA students tirelessly worked at the OYEA Banquet tonight. They served food, refilled drinks, waited tables, helped with the auction, cleaned the kitchen, folded up chairs and tables and made everyone at the banquet welcome and comfortable. They displayed excellent manners and kindness.
Animal Science teacher and MVP of the school barn Dennis Guidry introduced each of his students and what they showed as well as their dedication to the barn. He had something special to say about each of his students. He thanked Superintendent Robert Poole for his support and the opportunity to do his “dream job”.
Jermeire Purifoy addressed the audience telling them how thankful he was for the barn and being able to show animals. He stated how much he had learned, life lessons taught, what “a huge role model” Mr. Guidry was to him and how he was “forever thankful for him”. This program is one of a kind, teaching students responsibility, respect and an understanding of caring for and showing their animals.
Thank you to all who made this night possible for our students. Thank you to all these students for representing your school well and being upstanding citizens. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Barbaree and Mrs. Burke for supervising. #impactthepack
